When results of the elections come in with differing results ---
one side declares Ferdinand Marcos has again won, the other that Corazon Aquino has now won, the Army becomes divided.
In Camp Crame, helicopters with soldiers defect to the "other side", the side standing against Marcos and the reinstatement of his Regime.

This picture was taken from the top of the building of V.V. Sullivan which is on EDSA Highway, next to Camp Crame.

Marcos ignores the election count that has Corazon Aquino as the winner of the 1986 Philippine Presidential Elections and proclaims himself as the winner.

All television stations that have announced Aquino's victory are cut-off from broadcasting (see more) and only the pro-government TV station of Channel 4 is left to be seen on television sets. The news here broadcasts scenes from Malacañang Palace where the Marcos' are celebrating their victory and preparing for his Inauguartion for the next day.

Defense Minister Juan Ponce Enrile announces his break away from Marcos and General Fidel Ramos joins him. They and the soldiers of the now New Armed Forces take position at Camp Aguinaldo and Camp Crame.
