Babaylan Spirit

Babaylan, a visayan word, means village leader, priestess and/or shaman of Philippine barangay villages. The role of the babaylan is gaining strength again in the Philippines. The archetype, too is rising in the Motherland and abroad. I have brought about community projects to explore the babaylan role with others and to cultivate the babaylan spirit amongst our young Fil-Am leaders: Babaylan Series Workshops, and the international online Babaylan Discussion Group (closed membership. Invitation Only).

Mutya Jewelry

Baybayin jewelry has a way of acting as a metaphorical key to unlocking one piece of a puzzle to one's Filipino identity and/or connection to Filipino heritage. I have embarked on a collaboration with Mary Ann Ubaldo of Urduja Jewelry to create baybayin pieces as modern day charms and amulets.

Reiki

Since 2000, I have practiced a form of energy healing in my personal life. I also place healing intentions into all my community work. Please visit these links to understand this healing modality. http://angelreiki.nu/; http://reiki.org/; http://reiki.org/ And do note that there are various schools or lineages of Reiki but the final intention of this practice is to bring about healing, balance, harmony and peace.

Workshops are currently given in Connecticut, New York City and Manila. Please contact me for details.
